Age Categories

Participants are assigned into the following groups:

  • Mini Kids – up to 8 years old (born 2018 or later)

  • Children – 9–11 years old (born 2015–2017)

  • Junior – 12–16 years old (born 2010–2014)

  • Youth – 17–19 years old (born 2007–2009)

  • Adult – 20+ years old (born 2006 or earlier)

For mini formations, formations or showcases, up to 20% of participants from the next older age group are allowed.
In duets, the category is determined by the older dancer’s age.

Dance Formats

Participants may compete in:

  • Solo

  • Duet

  • Trio

  • Mini Formations: 4–8 dancers

  • Formations: 9–24 dancers

  • Showcases: 25 dancers or more

Time Limits

Dance Format – Time Limit
Solo & Duet – 1:00–2:00
Solo & Duet – FreeStyle Hip Hop – 0:30–1:05
Mini Formations – 2:00–3:00
Formations – 2:15–3:30
Production – 4:00–8:00
(Production refers to larger group presentations)

Dance Styles / Categories

Competitions are held in the following styles:

  • Street Dance (Hip-Hop)

  • Street Dance SHOW (Hip-Hop Show)

  • Show Dance

  • Modern

  • Jazz Dance

  • Contemporary Dance

  • Cheerleading

  • Artistic Acrobatic Dance

  • Ballet

  • Other Dance Forms

The Organizer may combine styles if the number of entries in a category is small.

Judging Criteria

Judges will evaluate:

  • Creativity of choreography

  • Technical skills and artistic expression

  • Music choice, repertoire, and costume design

  • Use of innovative figures and movement elements (adjusted to age group)

Awards

  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in each style and format (gold, silver, bronze medals)

  • Participation medals and certificates for all participants

  • The jury may award Grand Prix for outstanding presentation in a given style/format

Participation Requirements

  1. Entries must be submitted via the official online form by March 8, 2026.

  2. Entry Fees:

    • 50 PLN per participant for Mini Formations, Formations, Showcases

    • 60 PLN per participant for Solo, Duet, or Trio

    • 50 PLN per participant if using music provided by the Organizer

  3. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

  4. Music tracks must be sent by email to DanceTalents@tomaszberkowicz.pl at least 2 days before the performance. Label each file with:
    Team/Performer Name – Dance Format – Dance Style – Age Category.

  5. Each participant may enter once in each dance format for a given style, provided the entry fee is paid.

  6. Participants must arrive and arrange their own insurance (personal or institutional).

  7. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the rules at any time.

  8. The Organizer may decline any entry without explanation.

  9. Participation implies acceptance of the rules.

Personal Data Protection

Participants’ personal data will be processed only for the purpose of organizing and promoting the competition, in compliance with the EU GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). Each participant has the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data.

The Organizer may use participant images, names, hometowns, team names, and affiliated institutions for promotional purposes. Photos and audiovisual recordings may be published in materials related to the event’s promotion.

Organizational Notes

  • Medical assistance will be provided during the event.

  • Audience tickets: 15 PLN (children under 10 attend for free).

  • One instructor and one guardian per 15 children may attend free with prior registration.

  • The Organizer is not responsible for personal belongings left in changing rooms.

  • All matters not specified in the rules are decided by the Organizer.

  • The Organizer does not release the list of registered teams before the competition day.
